€27.5 million in funding has been announced for 290 projects under the Government of Ireland postgraduate scholarship and postdoctoral fellowship programmes.

€3.2 million in funding has been announced to support registered nurses in private nursing homes to obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Gerontological Nursing.
The IRC’s Government of Ireland scheme supports top early-career researchers who are based in Ireland’s higher education and research institutions. The investment will fund 294 awards in total, namely 214 postgraduate scholarships and 80 postdoctoral fellowships.
A joint investment of €9 million will fund seven awards to support more than 14+ research positions
