Data Science
The Master of Science in Data Science provides students with a thorough grounding in the analysis and use of large data sets, together with experience of conducting a development project, preparing graduates for responsible positions in the Big Data and IT industries. As well as studying a range of taught courses reflecting the state-of-the-art and the expertise of our internationally respected academic staff, students will undertake a significant programming team project, and develop their own skills in creating a project proposal and in conducting a data science project

Entry Requirements | Applicants must have obtained either a second class honours level 8 primary degree (or equivalent) in computer science or mathematical sciences or a second class honours level 8 primary degree (or equivalent) with a strong numerate content (e.g. engineering, finance, physics, biosciences or economics). In such cases the programme team must be satisfied that the numerate content is sufficient for entry to the programme and that applicants have an aggregate grade of a 2H2 in appropriate modules. |
