The first Call for Members of the Young Academy of Ireland has been made by the Royal Irish Academy.
The Young Academy of Ireland is a network of early career researchers and innovators.
The Young Academy of Ireland (YAI) will bring together early career researchers and innovators from the island of Ireland providing an opportunity to work with peers across disciplines on issues of common interest.
This is an exciting opportunity for early career researchers to be part of a new academy that supports and gives a voice to professionals at an early stage of their career and to contribute effectively to the development of all-island research, educational and cultural life.
Young Academy of Ireland
The YAI will provide a platform for ECRIs of all ages from many different sectors and backgrounds, to share ideas and develop thinking on significant and challenging issues and actively participate in discussions that address global issues. The YAI is a forum for talented emerging leaders and strives for a membership that reflects equality, diversity and inclusion.
Individuals who are interested in inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration, have a record of outstanding achievement and, above all, are motivated and prepared to make a serious commitment to the objectives of a YAI will be considered for membership. The YAI is targeted at scholars in the early stages of their career who have been selected for the excellence of their research impact and commitment to public service. (‘Young’ refers to career stage rather than to the age of Young Academy members.)
Submit your completed application no later than 5pm Friday, 30 September 2022.
