Established in 2012, NUI Galway’s MSc in Cloud Computing Research is a hugely popular course.
The MSc in Cloud Computing Research is an advanced research programme. Therefore, it develops students’ research skills. Students also spend time on a business-focused area of cloud computing and services.
The MSc in Cloud Computing Research will produce high calibre graduates who can work both in Ireland and internationally. Hewlett-Packard Galway’s Cloud Services Innovation Centre helped to design the course.
Entry requirements
There are two entry routes for this course. Firstly, anyone with a recognised undergraduate degree and/or postgraduate degree containing information systems, technology management or equivalent can apply. However, the course is also open to people working in the ICT sector or who has a job related to technology as well as qualifying degree or related experience.
Areas of research
All students have to propose a topic. The topic will focus on how cloud computing, services, or applications can add value for businesses, organisations or consumers. In addition, research topics may also focus on society. Areas of research could privacy, security, mobility, and access in relation to cloud computing.
