The Burren College of Art has announced two new scholarships for incoming international postgraduate students in 2020. Renowned artist, Sean Scully (pictured above), has generously donated $10,000 annually for a new MFA or MA student, beginning with the forthcoming Fall 2020 entry year.
For the launch of the new Post Baccalaureate in Art & Ecology in 2020, The Bernice P. Shaughnessy and Janet M. Shaughnessy Scholarship fund will be providing €2500 to two incoming international Post Bac students, in addition to their existing scholarship of €5000 for an MFA student.

The college is located in the Burren, a region famous for its natural beauty and unique ecosystem. the organisation is an internationally recognized Irish non-profit college specializing in undergraduate, postgraduate and alternative approaches to fine art education. The Master of Fine Art programme is accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway. Their undergraduate programme is designed for students in North America who wish to study abroad in Ireland for one to two semesters, and they currently partner with over 40 colleges and universities in the US and Canada. Their workshops and residency programmes welcome practitioners from all over the world, and the Creative Difference and Leadership programmes are designed to educate non-artists in the principles and procedures of creative processes.
