A new third level STEM scholarship programme has been launched by Huawei Ireland.
Third level students have been invited to apply for the programme which will provide € 250,000 in academic scholarships this year available through Huawei’s Seeds for the Future initiative.
Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s flagship global CSR program. The programme was launched in 2008. This programme aims to develop skilled, local ICT talent and bridge communication between countries and cultures.
The programme will award 50 € 5,000 scholarships to top-performing STEM students.
Luke McDonnell, Senior Communications Manager for Huawei Ireland said, “Huawei is committed to investing in the future ICT workforce in Ireland and we see this scholarship program as another way to help these students improve their skills while continuing their STEM studies. Our Seeds for the Future program has proven to be very successful and this year we look forward to welcoming more students to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
The program will run between October 18-26, 2021, and scholarships will subsequently be awarded to those who successfully complete the Seeds for the Future program.
Undergraduate and graduate students studying in Ireland can apply to the Seeds for the Future program in 2021 and the opportunity to receive one of fifty € 5,000 scholarships by submitting their CV and a 400-600 word essay or video two to three minutes. reflecting their interests and why they should be chosen to participate, at seedsireland@huawei.com.
The deadline for submissions is October 14.
